Whale Watching in Kauai: A Must Do Adventure!

Our captains and crew are passionate locals who know Kauai’s waters inside and out. With years of experience, they’ll ensure your tour is safe, fun, and filled with fascinating insights about the whales and the island. Families, couples, and solo adventurers alike are welcome—you don’t need to be an ocean expert to enjoy this experience!

  • Adult: $100 + taxes and fees

    Child: $90 + taxes and fees

    Kama`aina/Military: $90 + taxes and fees (Must show Hawaii/Military ID upon check in. Discount applied during the time of booking.)

  • Tour Duration: 2 hours

    Early Morning Tour:

    Check in: 6:45 AM

    Return: 9:30 AM

    Mid Morning Tour:

    Check in: 9:15 AM

    Return: 12:00 PM

  • Whale Sightings

    • Our tours take place during peak whale season in Kauai, when sightings are highly likely.

    • Whales are wild animals and their behavior is beyond our control. While we do everything possible to find and observe them, we cannot guarantee sightings on every trip.

    • No refunds will be issued if whales are not seen.

    • Even if whales are elusive, we will ensure your tour is safe, scenic, and enjoyable.

    • Our captains and crew will do their very best to provide an educational and memorable ocean experience, with opportunities to see other marine life and Kauai’s beautiful coastline.

    • Every effort will be made to maximize your chances of a sighting, including adjusting routes and using our local expertise.

    Weather & Ocean Conditions

    • Tours are subject to change or cancellation if weather or ocean conditions are deemed unsafe.

    • If a tour is canceled due to weather, guests will be offered a reschedule or refund.

    Booking & Refund Policy

    • Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may not be able to join and refunds will not be given.

    Harbor Parking Disclosure

    A $20 per vehicle parking fee (plus applicable processing or service fees) will be collected.

    • No parking is permitted on state land for commercial tours

    • This fee is charged by a private land company, which provides access to its private land adjacent to the harbor.

    • 0% of this fee goes to Blue Ocean Adventure or any entity associated.
